Origin is the foundation for perfect coffee enjoyment. For this reason, at Nussbaumer Kaffee, we process only the finest highland Arabica beans from the world's best growing regions. During a trip to Guatemala in 2018, the project surrounding our Lampocoy variety - Café des Mujeres - was born. The beans are grown organically and socially responsible and hand-picked. Through direct trade, we can bypass expensive middlemen and pay the workers around 45% higher wages than the market rate. This is a purely women-focused project, providing the workers with a secure income, education for their children, and financial independence.

Highest quality since 1935

Guido Nussbaumer laid the foundation for the family business 90 years ago on the market square in Gmunden. At that time, ground coffee was a true luxury item. Since then, the company philosophy – the highest quality, absolute freshness, and pure enjoyment – has remained with Manfred Drack, who took over the coffee roasting business from his father-in-law in 1978. He is also the one who, with his tremendous expertise and entrepreneurial sense, has made Nussbaumer Kaffee what it is today. Over the past few years, he has passed on this fine craftsmanship and the exclusive recipes to his granddaughter Marlene. Since 2024, she has officially headed the company and is continuing the history.
